Jelly Belly Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
What makes Jelly Belly beans different from other jelly beans?
Answer:
Most jelly beans are made with a non-flavoued centre and the coating and colour added later in the manufacturing process. Jelly Belly “real” flavours are in the jelly bean centre as well as the shell making them taste so much better. The flavour is all the way through the bean. They also have the Jelly Belly name on every bean.
Question:
How long does it take to make a Jelly Belly bean?
Answer:
On average, 7 to 20 days to make a Jelly Belly bean. The flavoured centre is placed in the mould and after drying the candy coating is added. Then the colouring for the candy coating, the shiny covering and finally the name. It’s a very involved process by experienced people using modern techniques as well as age-old methods.
Question:
How can I tell if I have the genuine Jelly Belly jelly beans?
Answer:
