How to make a Candy Buffet on a budget.

Here's an easy way to create a lolly buffet for not much money that your guests will remember for a long time.

1. Candy Jars or Vases

You don't need to pay a lot for containers. Lots of things will do the job. Check with Family and Friends first as Candy Buffets & Lolly Tables are so popular that you never know who might have containers, etc that you can borrow. Ask your friends or your mother if they can loan you a vase or two or any large jars that they may have. You can also try the Two Dollar Shops, The Reject Shop, K Mart, Big W, Ikea or even opportunity shops. You can also use drinking glasses for long candies such as lollipops or Musk Sticks, etc.

Decorate the outside of the containers with stick-on Dots which are available at office supplies stores for another effect.

People will remember the lollies that you have and the presentation, not the containers.

2. Lolly Scoops

These can usually be bought at stores like K Mart or homewares stores. Metal or plastic scoops are also available at some supermarkets.

3. Favour Boxes or Bags

Try stores like Spotlight. They have a huge range of small boxes, tubs and Lolly Bags to choose from. Think about Noodle Boxes as well. They make great Favour Boxes and don't cost much at all.

4. Lollies
These are the most important part of any Candy Buffet. Single coloured (or a small mix of individual colours) Candy Buffets are visually fantastic. Pink, Blue, White or Purple are ddefinitely the most popular but you can mix another colour or two into the Candy Buffet to make it really stand out. Add a small quantity of Gold foil covered chocolate hearts to the mix for a touch of class. You could also try the very, very stylish black and white colour theme with a touch of Silver or Purple by adding some foil covered Chocolate Hearts.
