Nestlé stopped producing Violet Crumble bars in 2018 after selling the brand to Australian confectionery company Robern Menz in January 2018. Production was transferred from Nestlé’s Campbellfield factory in Melbourne to Robern Menz’s factory in Adelaide over the following months, with Robern Menz officially restarting production later in 2018 but production was delayed for a few more years. 

The return was widely celebrated by nostalgic Australians who were excited to see the classic chocolate bar back in local hands. Production moved to Adelaide, where Robern Menz invested heavily in manufacturing and preserving the traditional recipe and texture that made Violet Crumble famous.
